A complete set of Provincial Grand Officer's Full Dress Regalia now costs over £150.00.   Providing that a brother remains active, it is not unusual for him to be promoted after a few years necessitating the purchase of new regalia.

In these circumstances, it seems sensible to recycle Provincial Officers' regalia, so W.Bro M.C.Black, PProvGJO, ProvRAMGR, has set up a Regalia Exchange Database, as a service for members of the Province of London.   The scheme will put brethren with regalia surplus to their  requirements in touch with brethren in need of regalia for their new ranks.

Brethren who either need regalia or who have regalia to sell are invited to complete the from (please assist by writing in BLOCK CAPITALS), and send it to W Bro Black at the address below, enclosing a stamped self-addressed envelope.   Queries to MC Black on 01920 467930; he will be happy to advise newly appointed brethren about the regalia that they will need.

W Bro Black will send sellers a copy of the database entry for checking;  he will send prospective buyers details of brethren who wish to sell and it is left to the two brethren to come to terms about price, delivery, etc.

Please note:

1.   The scheme, which is a service for brethren of the Province of London, applies only to regalia for Provincial Grand Rank and Grand Rank for the Mark and Royal Ark Mariner degrees.

2.   The service is only available to brethren who agree that their details can be kept on a computer and sent to prospective purchasers.   Submission of this form implies that brethren agree to this condition.

3.   There is no charge for the service, however, brethren who do not send a stamped self-addressed envelope will not receive any response.

4.   If you wish to sell (or buy) regalia for more than one Mark rank, please complete a separate form for each.  (This form is in a printable format).

5.   W Bro Black will not keep any regalia - he will only put brethren in touch with each other.   In the case of a widow wishing to sell her deceased husband's regalia.   It is suggested that the Lodge Secretary or Almoner act as her agent.

6.   Brethren may wish to donate their old regalia (or the proceeds of its sale) to the Provincial Benevolent Fund - Brotherly Love.

7.   Brethren who sell regalia must inform W Bro Black, so that he can remove their details from the database.   In the past, brethren have failed to do this, resulting in a wasted effort, expense and inconvenience for all concerned.
